Her Personal Best  Every activity is a chance for Lauren to see what she can achieve. In high school and college, she was an award-winning flutist who traveled and recorded several albums. Today, she competes on a horse at hunter/jumper and eventing shows and regularly enters marathons. Lauren loves these adrenaline-inducing activi­ties because she can continually improve her performance. “It’s never been about beating others,” says Lauren, who is also an avid kick-boxer, skier and SCUBA diver. “I’m in a personal contest against myself. I believe in always trying to be the best I can be in everything I do.”

Prolonged Study Abroad  Like any of the activities Lauren en­joys, her foreign travels off the beaten path present new cultures on a more genuine level and offer travel experi­ences missed by most westerners. On one particular trip, Lauren and her husband, Fred, spent 5 months travel­ing to 22 countries in Europe and the Middle East. It was a life changing adventure for her because she had the time to appreciate differences and similarities people share all over the world. Lauren saw the trip as a once in a lifetime opportunity, and relishes all the memories they made by exploring their many destinations to the max.

An Extraordinary Homemaker  Back in California, Lauren takes exploring her real estate passion to another level. With a lifelong belief in quality, she has invested an incredible amount of sweat and hard work into home projects with Fred. They’ve gutted and rebuilt a small bungalow, completely renovated a turn-of-the-century farmhouse and restored a mid-century contemporary with a designer’s touch. Lauren is driven by quality workmanship from the inside out, and will do everything from strengthening a property’s structure to adding fine décor finishes. She finds immense satisfaction in turning a fixer house into an extraordinary home.
